Where is the Vertex usually used?

The Vertex

The Vertex is a point in the western (right) hemisphere of the chart that represents the intersection of the ecliptic and the equatorial bisector. In astrology it is considered the auxiliary Descendant. The antivertex is the point exactly opposite to the vertex. Some astrologers refer to the Vertex as the "third corner" of the chart.

The use and meaning of the Vertex in astrology is controversial - those who use the Vertex usually believe that it is a point of causal or fatalistic connection. Some consider it a "wish come true" point. It is widely used in synastry astrology.

The Vertex is said to be activated at major turning points in our lives, especially when we meet a significant other or end a significant relationship, and some believe it is triggered at birth or death.

I use the Vertex in all my astrological work. In synastry astrology, it is often prominent in important relationships: one person's personal planet or Ascendant is closely conjunct or opposite the other person's Vertex, usually It is consistent. I use a fairly small angle of 2 degrees.

These interactions do not exist in all significant relationships, but when they do exist in romantic relationships, there is usually a fairly common theme: individuals do not immediately fall in love when they meet. In fact, there may be some hesitation, and unlike the South Node connection in synastry astrology, they will not feel an immediate sense of buy-in. When they do fall in love, it's like an "aha" moment - something along the lines of "Wow, I really like you - I didn't see that coming!" The feeling comes out of the blue and is a rush of affection .

Please note that in forecasting sex work I have found that the Vertex is very prominent in making important connections. For example, in every significant romantic relationship I've had in my life, the following has occurred: the Venus return chart, the Vertex, and the Moonfor the year I met these people. /u>'s nodes were in tight hard aspects (conjunct and aspect), and transiting Venus formed tight hard aspects to these points on the day I met them. (Read more about the Venus Return Chart here).

Involves the limits and solar arcs of progressions, including the vertex of progresses or directions, and u>BirdThe advancement or direction of the vertex is also very significant. The Vertex-Nodal connection of the Venus return in my life may be particularly meaningful and compelling because Venus rules my 7th house (and the Vertex).
