5 mistakes you make when reading your horoscope

Astrology 86

Learning astrology is difficult. I remember when I first got my copy of my Astrolabe: I was completely overwhelmed.

There are so many zodiac signs, positions and house positions that when you write them down, you will remember them. There is an auxiliary grid filled with phases.

I made a lot of mistakes in my astrology journey and finally figured out why my horoscopes weren't working, so I'm writing this to help others who make similar mistakes, because when readings It's really frustrating when it doesn't work!

These are the 5 most common mistakes I see beginner astrologers make; I have made all of them myself. Here's the thing: I don't care about errors at all if the readings are accurate, but I've found that these 5 errors in particular can lead to wildly inaccurate readings, which is why I think they're so important to get right.

1. You only study the Big Three

Most ordinary people only know their Sun sign, but when you dig deeper, you will first learn about your Sun sign, < The u>Moonsign and the Ascendant sign are the most important places in your horoscope. < /p>

For example, my Big Three are mostly fire signs. Looking at that, anyone would say I'm ambitious, outgoing and driven. Yes, I am all of these, but I also have 6Planets in Pisces, which means I am very sensitive, musically inclined, into the occult and divination, etc. I cry easily and don't like being around other people for too long because I'm very sensitive to energy. If you only look at my three major signs, you won't be able to accuratelyreadme.

If you're already doing this, consider taking the next step and start using your actual characters. Ultimately seeing the chart laid out in front of you is key in astrology; this chart helps you put everything together rather than reading each placement completely individually.

2. You make things either good or bad

When you first start, you may want to assign a "good" or "bad" attribute to each planet, sign, house, or aspect.

I remember the first time I looked at the horoscope charts of myself and my boyfriend. I googled every position and aspect trying to determine if the relationship was good or bad.

I saw a lot of square aspects that I didn’t like and measured them based on triangles. I thought our relationship was terrible and felt depressed.

The problem is, none of my assumptions were correct. Square aspects are hard because they force change, which is probably a good thing in the long run; trines are too easyThere is no attraction between partners. By the way, we are now happily engaged.

There are many ways you can view your horoscope in black and white. You may think that Saturn is bad because it means restriction or karma; the South Node is bad, the North Node is good.

I encourage you to let go of these beliefs and look at the good and bad of each position and aspect. Each part of your chart has both, and your own choices and actions determine the quality of your expression.

For example, when Mars is in Libra, you can be very stingy, manipulative, and perhaps a bit of a social climber, or you can be even-tempered and try to resolve arguments through logic. This can be one of the most wonderful positions, or it can be one of the most difficult.

A Moon in Leo can be very loving and caring, or it can cause an individual to become proud and need praise to survive emotionally.

My point is that we have free will, so the way a chart expresses itself is always up to the individual.

3. You try to first understand the Fleeing Time

Your horoscope is the sky map at the moment you were born, and the Transit chart is the current sky. picture.

Many beginning astrologers get a transit chart and then try to figure out how current patterns in the sky affect their own chart.

Although transit astrology is useful, it is very difficult. This is indeed a completely independent study. If you're a beginner, this can be super overwhelming and may turn you away from astrology forever.

4.LoveAstrology only looks at Venus

This is a very specific mistake, but one I see students make so often that I have to Include it.

Repeat after me: Your Venus sign does not determine your love life. Venus rules attraction and romance, so some elements of your Venus sign will be present, but Venus is definitely not top of mind.

Juno, Mars, Lilith and many other positions all come together to form different aspects of your love life. After all, we are not one-dimensional.

5. You try to make clear rules for each planet or sign

We're almost all guilty of this. When you first learn astrology, it's easy to try to define each planet and check in with a definition.

This doesn't work because there are so many different aspects to each sign and therefore each planet.

Let’s take Scorpio as an example. Scorpio can be power, obsession, mysticism, mysticism, depression, desire, passion, drive, emotion, doubt, transformation, trauma, etc. I could keep using these keywords, but I think this clearly illustrates that a location just can't be all of these.

If you fall under the sign of Scorpio, you may find yourself suspicious, jealous, and obsessive. Or you may find yourself paranoid and driven to overcomeSurrender to this jealous nature and create transformation. This doubt may come from trauma, or it may just be part of your character. Then again, you may have other Scorpio qualities without being suspicious or jealous at all.

When you get into the technical aspects of astrology it can feel a bit like a science, but I truly believe that at its core it is an art. There is a process for reading a chart that requires an intuitive mind to decipher how a sign or placement fits.

It may take you a while to figure out how each of your locations expresses itself or how each sign shows up in your life, but I promise it will be worth it! My point is: remember to apply your knowledge and use the definitions to fit the situation and planet, rather than reading definitions directly from a book or website.
