The difference between Venus, Mars and Eros

Astrology 100

In my opinion, Venus represents an idealized version of sex, what we think sex "should" be like. Mars, on the other hand, embodies the true and authentic expression of sexuality, reflecting its essence.

So, according to this view, Venus symbolizes what we think our sexuality should be - it's the image we project and the qualities we find attractive or valuable. Mars, however, represents the true, unfiltered nature of our sexuality.

I believe that Mars energy determines the way you view sex in the long term and shapes the type of consistent lover you are. It's basically your core gender identity and how you naturally express yourself over time with sexual partners.

We express Mars energy by default when we are not consciously paying attention to it. This default mode reveals our true nature as long-term sexual partners—it reflects our true selves in this area.

For example, if your Mars is in Aries, you may be perceived as a fearless and adventure-seeking sexual partner who is not afraid to take risks.

Conversely, if Mars is in Taurus, you may approach sex more cautiously, preferring a slow courtship process before it unfolds. This position tends to be more risk-averse.

With Venus, our goal is often to impress or "seduce." It’s like the “makeup” we put on deliberately to attract others – a reflection of how we see ourselves as attractive and valuable.

When people consider their roles as lovers, they tend to emphasize the ideal of Venus. The real action, however, lies on Mars.

If Venus represents someone's "ideal" vision of their love life, then Mars represents the reality of their sex on a practical, tangible level.

Thus, if Venus is in Aries, someone may envision themselves as a straightforward lover who approaches love and sex with an "unapologetic" attitude. And when Mars is in Capricorn, the long-term partners they become may be completely different - more cautious and methodical, focusing on what's proven to work rather than chasing new things.

When Venus is in Libra, individuals may promote themselves more subtly sexually, displaying a more romantic and idealistic attitude.

On the other hand, if Mars is in Taurus, their long-term sexual expression may be more down-to-earth, practical, and practical, rather than based on reason. It’s more about the senses and sensibility rather than the abstractconcept.

In astrology, Eros is a small planet, representing what I understand to be more of the "emotional" aspect, not just Pure sex - if that makes more sense.

When I imagine expressing Eros, I think of an ice cream metaphor. Venus is drawn to the ice cream's appearance, its aesthetic appeal - it looks delicious.

Mars is drawn to actually eating ice cream and feeling the coolness on the tongue. Mars seeks "action."

Eros, however, is drawn to the texture of the ice cream, the smell of the cone, the feel of the cream on the tongue - it's about enjoying the experience. And this doesn’t just apply to sex, but to all aspects of life.

For example, Venus in aspect to Eros may idealize the curves of the body and fantasize about touching and caressing them. It is evoked from a conceptual perspective.

Eros associated with Venus in Gemini may lead someone to write erotic novels, with vivid details that make the reader feel as if they are actually experiencing it.

When Eros is on Mars (in your case), it may manifest as a strong desire for physical contact. This may translate into enjoying oral play, such as nibbling on the butt, licking the neck, scratching the back, or even licking the toes.

Mars wants to "consume," and Eros enhances the sensory experience of consumption. This often leads to a desire to break things down and consume them gradually over the long term.

The elements associated with your Eros sign can reveal what behaviors you find emotionally appealing. Fire element Eros may waver between wanting to consume something quickly and wanting to enjoy it slowly. This can lead to premature orgasm or the frustration of being unable to control your impulses.

And Air Eros may have such a "perfect" conceptual image of what they will enjoy that they focus more on talking about it than actually experiencing it. They may also try to do too many things at once.
